1. What is Bengkel Amal?

Bengkel Amal is a non-profit organization, established in April 1999. Our general mission is to help improve the quality of life and welfare of the Indonesian people. Our areas of focus are education and health care.

2. What is the Child Sponsorship program?

The Bengkel Amal child sponsorship program is the main component of our education objective. With this program, we are helping Indonesian children from various poverished areas to continue their education, by giving them the necessary funding that they need to progress. The scholarship includes the children's tuition, books, and other school materials that they need such as uniforms and writing utensils.

3. How do I sponsor a child through your Child Sponsorship program?

Sponsoring a child through our program is easy. You simply choose your child from a list of names that we have in the "Child Sponsorship" menu. Record their name and ID number, and send us an email at donation@bemal.org and let us know which child you are interested in helping. Don't forget to include your name, address, telephone number, and email (if available), the name of the child and ID number.

Write a check payable to Bengkel Amal, and send it to this address:

* write your Child Id # in the Memo Area.

Upon receiving your check, we will send you a complete information card about your child, in the mail. You can contact your child directly and send them letters.
We will update your sponsorship by reminding you your payment due dates for the next sponsorship period. There are no strings attached to this program. You may sponsor your child for as long as you'd like (sponsorships are for 1 year). However, if you wish to discontinue your sponsorship, simply notify us in advance so we can find other sponsors to continue the funding for your child's education.

4. How can I help Bengkel Amal?

There are many ways that you can help Indonesia through Bengkel Amal. You can join our Child Sponsorship program, or you can simply spread the word. Refer our programs to other people.
You can also help us by participating in our fundraising events.
