A major earthquake (6.2 richter scale) occurred in Central Java, on May 27th 2006. Five thousand people have been killed and hundreds of thousands of people have lost their homes due to the impact of the earthquake. Bengkel Amal felt the urge to help these people, especially since the areas that have been most affected are areas where our foster children live.
